LASER ENGRAVING EXPLAINED

WE CANNOT MAKE EMBOSSED/STAMPED/RAISED LETTERS

All our tag are laser marked.

Laser engraving or etching is one of many types of engraving.

This process leaves a permanent, solvent resistant and UV stable marking and is the same used by manufacturer now.

Depth is light but you can feel some relief when you pass your finger on the letters and even make a pencil tracing.

You can clean our tags with alcohol based products and even acetone and it won't remove the engraving, proof that it's not "printed" (printing would wear in a snap)

If it happens to be accidentally scratched, aluminum will show mark, but it still won't remove the black engraving.

If you were looking for character in relief, this is called "stamping" or "embossing" and it's not engraving either and we do not offer this service.

Tags will only be laser engraved on tag with very few relief/depth.

This is perfectly acceptable for registration purposes.

(old tags were embossed since laser technology didn't exist and/or produced in mass and customized later with numbers in relief to be legible when tag fade/rust.

New materials don't fade or rust)
